Star Light, Star Bright

One of the more spectacular sights from the Nullarbor is the sky at night. With no light pollution for hundreds of miles we were treated to a display of stars seen only by those who dare to venture out of civilization. We felt like we were seeing the night sky for the first time, the milky way was so clearly visible, we were even treated to a few shooting stars. A truly magical experience.

Let’s go West, I mean North, No West, The Nullarbor Plain

With two months before we are due to house sit on the East Coast we have thrown caution to the wind and are joining our new buddies on their trip across the Nullarbor Plain. Stretching over 1300km the ‘Treeless Plain’ (Nullarbor meaning no trees in Aboriginal) is a wide expanse of uninhabited, arid land that runs along the coast and stretches north into the deserts of Central Western Australia. We have stocked up with water, baked beans and camp fire sausages are a ready to hit the road! Internet is supposedly none existent on the plain so see you on the other side!
